Can you get arrested for hole carding? The attitude your show guests display that there is only one side to the story in regard to ethics - that you are NOT cheating. Rubber-necking in poker is certainly considered sleazy; why isn't hole carding something to avoid if you're an ethical player?

Taking advantage of hole cards is NOT illegal. Can you get arrested for it? Sure, but the case will get thrown out, and often you can then sue.

But you have to decide what your ethics are. If it doesn't feel right to you then don't do it. I know some players who find hole carding unethical, but have no qualms playing with a hidden computer.

I wouldn't tell someone else what is moral for them, but we can comment on what is legal.
